Mad Men-Lane Pryce Commits Suicide (Wait, Does “Spoiler Alert” Go Before or After I Type the Spoiler?)
In a twist that blindsided me yet every woman apparently saw coming a mile away because they’re empathetic creatures swimming in hormones and menstrual blood, Lane Pryce offed himself in this week’s episode of Mad Men (click here to view the episode online via Amazon). I feel bad for Jared Harris, the actor who portrayed Lane, because this isn’t the goddamn Sopranos or The Wire, where characters’ corpses are carted off left and right: He probably thought he had a good thing going. As would I if I were paid money to stand around and stare at Christina Hendricks’ tits for hours on end. So, to commemorate Lane, I’d like to present this video of his finest moment: Shoving his tongue down his black girlfriend’s throat in front of his racist father, who savagely beats him for it. (He also says the word “negro” in that clip, which sounds extra-racist due to that British accent.) RIP, Mr. Pryce. My only regret is they won’t bury Pete alive with you.
