Joshua Jackson revealed last week that his ex-girlfriend Katie Holmes, after her breakup from Tom Cruise, gave him a call to “see how he was doing.” Now, I’m a man and, thus, have what the French refer to as “le penois” between my legs, so I’ve never seen an episode of Dawson’s Creek in my life. I don’t know if Joshua Jackson was Dawson, if the giant forehead monster was Dawson, or if there even was a Dawson. That’s not why we’re talking about these two mediocrities of theater.
The story is getting mentioned because of the phenomena many men experience (in far greater numbers since the advent of Facebook) in which their exes, who popped out kids with guys they met after the breakup, come trolling back around to see if they’d be willing to play cuckold daddy to the little bastards. It’s happened to me, and I’m more than happy to tell the story, because the Papa’s Basement motto is “my tears of pain are your tears of laughter.” Click the link right below to give a listen to the latest episode of the Papa’s Basement Radio Show.
