Holy F Was Sunday’s The Walking Dead Horrible
I was never a huge fan of The Walking Dead or the zombie genre in general. Still, because God forbid I sound ignorant when it comes to television (though being […]
In case you’re anything like me and the thought of going out to socialize during the weekend disgusts you, here are some great time-wasters you can punch up via Netflix.
Videodrome-A movie whose wiki I had to read five times to understand, it’s worth viewing because James Woods spends the last 30 minutes with a gross kangaroo pouch that people can’t seem to keep their hands out of. Also, you see Debbie Harry’s boobs. Hot Debbie Harry, thankfully. Not old, depressing we-all-die-someday Debbie Harry.
Shameless-There’s an American version of this starring William H. Macy on Showtime, but because this is both the original and British, I’m going to assume it’s way better. The show depicts a bunch of broke Irish ragamuffins and their alcoholic father (like there’s another type of Irish father) swindling the system, getting drunk and banging around. It’s like watching a scripted version of COPS with slurred Irish accents. Definitely worth watching a few episodes.
Echo Park-I popped this on a few days ago and, I’m not saying this lightly, but it might be the worst film I’ve ever seen. The movie’s description promised me a single mom who begins stripping to pay the bills. Sounds hot, right? It even had Amadeus, and, hey, who doesn’t like him? Somehow, though, it all goes horribly wrong. I’m listing this so other people can tell me if I am way off here and simply bitter that the protagonist’s boobs, when finally exposed, were incredibly disappointing, or if I really have unearthed an all-time piece of shit here.

I was actually able to catch Buckaroo Bonzai on AMC channel the other night. Might have to get that from Amazon. I had seen it in ages, and it was still dysfunctional as hell.
