D.C. Stripper Sues Stadium Club for Sex Discrimination

Here is a photo of Jessica Biel showing you exactly what the stripper in this story doesn’t look like.

Talayna Clements, an “exotic dancer” at DC’s Stadium Club, is suing the establishment for $2 million, alleging that the club’s general manager demanded she sleep with him to keep her job. The story is bullshit for a myriad of reasons, but I’m going to do the defense attorney’s job for him and list them here:

1. If you’re a stripper, screwing your manager is a rite of passage. Everyone in the club has done it, and you all bond over it in between your catty fights over stolen shoes and coke. Complaining about it is akin to getting a job as a PA and then suing because Kevin Spacey was a prick about the coffee you brought being cold.

2. If Miss Clements didn’t want to bang her manager, she didn’t have to. Keeping employed in the world of stripping isn’t the same as keeping a job as a defense contractor. You can wander into any club, pull out your jugs and say “I want to dance tonight” and be doing just that 20 minutes later. They let anyone work. I once put a pair of plastic tits on a golden retriever and let it loose on stage and no one realized it wasn’t the new girl until he began urinating everywhere.

3. DC is a shit place to strip, anyhow. The dancers can’t give lap dances, so they’re limited to hounding you for $1s. Schoolyard bullies make more money. If Miss Clements was as serious as she claims to be about her career in the erotic arts, she would have invested in a car to drive to Maryland, where she could get a stripping job actually worth sleeping with her manager to keep.
