Those that listen to my show know that the pomposity of celebrities is a favorite target on mine. Yes, I understand that greedy, morally-bankrupt pillars of industry are the real villains, and some twat prattling on about how yogarobics gave her the best body she’s ever had at age 40 is, in the grand scheme of things, nothing by comparison. But it’s so much more pleasurable to rag on on someone who makes a small fortune pretending to be someone else as others film them than and whose work I’m intimately familiar with than to lay into some decrepit white billionaire who, in my minds eye, looks like Rich Uncle Pennybags
So when I heard that Gwyneth Paltrow released a list of things she “can’t live without,” imagine my surprise when it didn’t contain items like “the love of my children” and “my parents’ showbiz connections that allowed a mediocrity such as myself to have reached such lofty heights.” What did she include on the list?
