Mad Men is the most masculine show on tv. Last night’s episode, “Signal 30” (click here to watch via Amazon), contained no less than the following:
Ladies, if you want to know how real men think, watch Mad Men. We want to be conquerors in our professional lives. We want to get drunk and blow wads in you like cavemen. We want to smite our foes with our fists, then grab the girl with the biggest tits in the room and shove our tongue down her throat. In five seasons, Mad Men has never sounded a false note. And “Signal 30” contained some of its truest tones yet. Get me a steak and a hooker, goddammit.

I love Ad Men because it gives an atuarcce look at the way advertising once was. It shows the glory days The days of David Ogilvy and Turner. When advertising was more of an art than a quick joke about a baby falling. Its when advertising was real When the ultimately goal was always linked to persuasion. Whether or not you choose me as the winner or not doesn’t matter You see, I’m not trying to sell you Jesus. This is either in your heart or it isn’t.
