I’m going to get the bad news out of the way: This edition of Papa’s Basement, which, hopefully, heralds the arrival of a second episode each week, was recorded in the radio station’s “other” studio. What does that mean to you? Nothing…other than bad mics and acoustics so poor I felt like Osama bin Laden recording one of his “cave podcasts” as we fellow broadcasters call them.
With that out of the way, I’m just going to say that the show was a real goodie, with the gang delving into such heady topics as “The worst smells you’ve ever detected during sex” and “Fuck, Marry, Kill:Dancing with the Stars Edition.” Oh, and, since this episode didn’t go live on air, we were able to swear. I mean a lot. Like, to the point it summoned the ghosts of Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce and Sam Kinison in the studio like Vader, Yoda and Obi Wan at the end of Return of the Jedi. Enjoy!
