U.S. Teen Birth Rate Drops To a Record Low (This Is Bad)

admin April 10, 2012

Madonna originally intended to wear a shirt that read 'white power' in the 'Papa Don't Preach' video. The 'Italians Do It Better' shirt was a compromise she reached with its director. And now you know the REST of the story.

It was announced today that the teen birth rate in the U.S. has hit its lowest levels in the seven decades since the statistic started being tracked. Experts credit this to an increase in teens either using contraception or abstaining from sex altogether, but I bet the truth is it’s due to technology. Between a generation of guys that would rather play Call of Duty than get their wicks wet and laptops irradiating everyone’s ovaries and testicles, we’ll probably evolve to reproduce like fungi within a few generations. Except for me and my descendants. The Papageorgious pack nothing but sniper ammo in their cartridges, ladies. One shot, one kill.

“In spite of these declines, the U.S. teen birth rate remains one of the highest among other industrialized countries.”

If it’s one thing the U.S. is doing great at lately, it’s setting the bar really low then congratulating ourselves at every opportunity. “You win the prize!” Have you seen the trailer for The Newsroom on HBO?

“Just in case you accidentally wander into a voting booth someday there’s some things you should know.”
